The AMRA Supplemental Health Plan, underwritten by The Hartford1, is designed to wrap around TRICARE, and afford TRICARE eligible employees healthcare that is available worldwide without network restrictions.


 

ASI handles the majority of the administrative duties for you to ease the implementation process which includes but is not limited to:
 

  • Processing claims
  • Billing and collecting premiums
  • Issuing ID cards and certificates of insurance
  • HR staff training
  • Providing quality customer service

The TRICARE Supplemental Health Plan can be paid by employees pretax through payroll deduction within a cafeteria plan or on a direct-bill basis where ASI works directly with the employees. Employers are only to offer or make the coverage available to their employees since the supplement is a voluntary benefit.

How the plan works:
 

Once you make the AMRA TRICARE Supplement Health Plan available to your TRICARE-eligible employees, they will have the opportunity to voluntarily opt out of the employer-sponsored group health plan and select TRICARE as primary and our supplement as secondary.

*Please note that the insured must meet the Supplement Plan deductible of $100/individual or $200/family.
